This is my latest attempt at maintaining my back catalog. Most of these recordings are very very lo-fi, and have never been released. I can't (and wont!) vouch for the quality of everything. Good luck.

Recorded in the basement of my apartment in Brighton in 2005. Like everyone right after Katrina, I was pretty pissed at the Bush administration. I had an idea to start an electro-clash project under a pseudonym. I had originally written half a dozen songs to eventually make up a full album. When my laptop was stolen, I lost the tracks to most of the songs, and abandoned the project.

A Requiem For Lawrence, Kansas

Recorded in one afternoon in April 2005 in Mike's apartment at 1325 in Allston. Aerosmith lived there back in the day. We had one more song we never recorded. It was called "Dance Dance Revolt" and was about time travelling robots. I'm pretty sure it was awesome.

Johnny Angst and the Killmetones

Although JD and I have performed together in various capacities about a hundred times, The Liberal Media was the onyl actualy band he and I ever had. We only recorded the one song for the Keroscene Sampler 2, but played out as The Liberal Media a bunch of times usually playing the harder numbers from our own solo repetoires for the set lists.

Atlas EP

I've been doing silly techno remixes for years. They're usually a way for me to unwind. To test out musical ideas. Or just fun gifts for friends. All the remixes here are intended in good fun. Some I take seriously as tributes to artists I really admire. Some were done for contests. But most were done for the amusement of my friends. As such there are a lot of inside jokes in many of these remixes. Listen at your own risk.

Misc (Silent Orbit)

The Abatements started as a studio project. The idea was that Mike and I (who were living in Allston and Connecticut, respectively) would send eachother demos back and forth and add things and mix as we went. After a few months, we decided to start playing live, and realized the low key acoustic tunes weren't that fun to play as a 2 piece and jettisoned our entire setlist. Most of these songs are unmixed demos.

Misc

Recorded in September 2009 at my apartment in Bed Stuy. The album was heavily influenced by the work of Iman Moradi. All live instruments were performed by me (guitar, bass, drums, tambourine). Additional drum samples were taken from various recording sessions with Victor Pachas and Drew St. Aubin.
I recorded this album between December '06 and June '08. I recorded a total of 28 tracks before narrowing it down to these 14. Other than the bass and electric organ, all instruments used in the recording process were acoustic.
